Track Planner

Track planning software exists, but the one Mark used had an interface he could not stand to look at - a bright white canvas is a genuine problem for someone with light sensitivity. So he wrote his own, on a mid-dark neutral canvas rather than the pure black that glares just as badly.

The geometry is the point. Every corner is a FILLET of a stated radius between two straight legs - straight, constant-radius arc, straight - which is how flex track is actually laid on a bench. There is no mode for a "perfect corner" because it is the only kind of corner the model can produce. When the legs are too short for the radius asked for, the radius is reduced to fit AND REPORTED, because silently drawing a tighter curve than requested is how a plan stops matching the real layout.

Around that sit the things a real build needs: your own benchwork drawn to scale, layers with ghosting so you can see what is above and below, locked sections that stay put while the rest of the run stretches to reach them, and an Optimise pass that divides the whole layout into three-foot sticks of flex and counts them - which doubles as the shopping list.

It is written in WinForms with four source files and no third-party dependency. Even the toolbar is drawn from scratch, because a standard Windows control keeps its white edit field whatever theme is applied, and that white field is exactly the glare being designed out.
